Romania's iconic grilled street food: skinless minced meat sausages with mustard. A chef's recipe for your first celebration meal after recovery.
Ingredients
- 400g beef mince
- 300g pork mince
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp coriander
- Salt, black pepper
- Romanian mustard to serve
Method
- 1
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Knead vigorously for 5 minutes – the texture is crucial.

Rest mixture refrigerated at least 2 hours (overnight is better).

Shape into cylinders about 8cm long with wet hands.

Grill over high heat 3–4 minutes each side until charred and cooked through.

Serve immediately with yellow mustard and fresh bread.

What you can eat now
From month two, most patients can return to a normal diet. This phase is about celebrating your new smile, enjoy the foods you love, just continue to be mindful and follow your dentist's specific guidance.
